Grammy Schlaner's Smothered Pork Chops

Directions

Mix flour, salt and pepper.

Heat the oil to almost smoking in a heavy skillet.

Dredge the pork chops in the flour and place in the skillet for about 3 minutes per side. They should be very nicely browned.

Add water until the top of the chops are just showing. Add the vinegar.

Cover and reduce the temperature to medium high for 45 minutes turning half way through.
